has over 12 years of research experience in the area of biochemistry and molecular biology. Her most recent industry experience was as a manager of Clinical Efficacy at AVON products Inc. Prior to this, she was a principal scientist at Unilever Research for five years in the target identification group. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a PhD in Chemistry and worked as a postdoctoral scientist at Albert Einstein college of Medicine in the area of DNA repair. Her passion for teaching brought her back to academia and she is currently a faculty member in the department of Chemistry and Environmental Science at NJIT. She is interested in innovative approaches to teaching and incorporates interactive problem solving, online lectures and assignments to enhance the learning experience of students.
