About the Course

Master the fundamentals of gas chromatography (GC). This course is designed for beginners, intermediates, and even advanced level users in GC who want practical laboratory experience and thorough understanding of GC fundamentals.

By the end of this course, you will feel comfortable understanding any modern GC. You’ll be able to choose the correct temperatures, flows, column length, diameter, film thickness, and stationary phase. The added bonus is that the instructor makes it both simple and fun to learn. All of the classroom instruction is reinforced with plenty of practical examples.

Every participant will have the opportunity to learn about building calibration curves, developing complex methods from scratch, and optimizing GC methods. No prior experience in advanced mathematics, theoretical
chemistry, or physics is required for this course. All you need is a desire to learn GC. If you want to learn, we can teach you!

  • Understanding Resolution (Separation) in GC
  • Fast GC – How to reduce you analysis time by 50% to 90%
  • Method Development – How to develop a method from scratch
  • GC/MS
  • Headspace GC
  • Troubleshooting from the chromatogram – separation conditions
  • Troubleshooting GC hardware
