Learn the basics of calibration principles of laboratory methodology and instrumentation.

This module follows the topics covered in the Introduction to Statistical Analysis and Advanced Statistical Analysis on-demand modules. Topics include:

  • Linear calibration model
  • Estimating the uncertainties in the calibration parameters
  • Performing calibration calculations in Excel
  • Calculating parameters and uncertainties in the standard addition method
  • Calculating the detection limits from measurements of blanks and uncertainties of the calibration method

Samples of the Excel files demonstrated in this module will be available for you to download.
