Frederick Meadows

Dr. Frederick Meadows earned a B.S. in chemistry from North Carolina A & T State University and his Ph.D in analytical chemistry from Georgia State University.

After graduate school, Dr. Meadows was selected for a one-year post-doctoral Research Chemist position at the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service-Quality Assessment Research Unit (USDA-ARS-QARU) where he structurally and chemically characterized agricultural products and developed analytical techniques for the prediction of compositional and rheological properties in various grains.  In the three years following his post-doctoral research, he worked at the USDA, Shire Laboratories, and Altea Therapeutics. He then joined Ciba Vision/Novartis (now Alcon) where he worked in management in the research and development of contact lens and lens care products. During this time, he developed and instructed two courses, Fundamentals of Biomanufacturing and Validation, Documentation and Quality Assurance at Atlanta Technical College.  Starting in 2014, he joined  the North American R&D Analytical Group at Kemira Chemicals as a manager where he led the  development of polymers and a myriad of chemistries for applications in pulp and paper, oil and gas and mining.  In 2018, he became the Senior Manager of Oil and Gas Research and Development for North America.
